Senior Software Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions that meet the needs of our business.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with system analysts to understand and analyze user/business/system functional requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments to examine and evaluate existing vs. to-be processes.
  • Design technical solutions based on functional specification documents.
  • Build software solutions based on technical specifications and conduct unit tests to ensure quality of development.
  • Conduct code reviews for junior team members and vendors.
  • Create or review documents related to system release or deployment.
  • Support test activities to ensure all errors reported are resolved timely.
  • Assist in integration testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Provide technical support in resolving incidents.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Timely escalate issues to team leads/team heads of any challenges and issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline.
  • Min. 5 years of working experience in application development, including Java-based applications.
  • Experienced and in-depth knowledge in docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift and public cloud.
  • Experienced and in-depth knowledge in designing and implementing web-based applications.
  • Experienced and good knowledge in RDBMS such as Oracle database, MS SQL, DB2, MySQL, etc.
  • Experienced and good knowledge in Dev-Ops and workflow/process automation systems.
  • Experience and knowledge in emerging technologies such as RPA, AI, Data Analytics, etc.
