Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Android developer with strong Kotlin skills to join our Video Creation Team. Your primary responsibility will be designing and developing the core video creation product, supporting tens of millions of TikTok creators daily. This role requires close collaboration with our AR effects and multimedia teams to develop viral props and effects.

You will work closely with Product Managers, Algo Engineers, and other roles to define a world-class video creation experience, design the architecture of TikTok video creation tools and pipelines, and ship cutting-edge features to take TikTok to the next level.

This position involves participating in mobile app performance and user experience optimization, responsible for the technical architecture design and implementation of client-side creative tools. You will also participate in mobile app basic component and architecture design, promoting development efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new mobile app technologies, exploring and practicing innovative solutions
  • Drive the team's technical research and innovation, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in mobile app development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop a world-class video creation experience
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience in Android or cross-platform development, or mobile app architecture experience
  • Proficient in Kotlin, with good architectural design capabilities
  • Familiarity with popular mobile device characteristics and development iteration processes
  • Familiarity with Android platform design
Preferred Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred. Strong communication skills, teamwork spirit, and a sense of responsibility are essential. Respect for specialization and standardization of technology, as well as a pursuit of clean code practices, are also highly valued.
