Job Title: AI Leadership Role

The Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Home Affairs, aiming to pioneer innovation solutions and develop world-class science and technology capabilities. We are seeking an exceptional leader to drive our AI strategy forward.

Job Description:
We are looking for a Deputy Director of AI Software Engineering to provide engineering leadership to a team of developers, delivering scalable AI-related platforms, products, and solutions to Home Team Departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching and mentoring the team, establishing best practices, and ensuring quality delivery of solutions in AI modeling, machine learning, sensors, data fusion, and integration.

This role requires strong technical expertise in AI and digital technologies, including Adversarial AI, Computer Vision AI, Embodied AI, Language AI, Multi-modal AI, and Emerging AI. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading and collaborating with multi-agency teams and possess excellent communication skills to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering leadership to the team in delivering AI-related platforms, products, and solutions
- Coach and mentor the team in AI and digital technologies
- Establish best practices and ensure quality delivery of solutions
- Lead consultancy to Home Team Departments as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in AI and digital technologies

Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in product development work, with at least 8 years in AI and 5 years in large-scale AI project delivery
- Strong knowledge of multi-tier architectures for AI/ML, Data Science, and Data Analytics platforms
- Experience in leading and collaborating with multi-agency teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
