Job Title:

Electro Mechanical Design Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of complex electro mechanical products to meet technical, schedule, and cost objectives.

  • Design and develop high precision electro mechanical components including LCDs, transducers, plastics, metals, and rubber components.
  • Conduct thorough engineering tests and evaluations to ensure compliance with product specifications and make necessary design changes.
  • Collaborate closely with suppliers to meet product specifications and achieve cost targets.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in consumer electronics or IoT devices.
  • Proven track record in the full product development lifecycle from concept to prototyping, DFM/DFA, tooling, and production.
  • Proficiency in Creo Elements/Pro or Solidworks CAD software is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of thermal and structure analysis, tolerance analysis, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience with DFM/DFA and knowledge of IP-rated enclosures for waterproof/dustproof devices.
  • Understanding of integration with electronics including PCB layout impacts, thermal management, and connector selection.
  • Knowledge of various prototyping techniques such as 3D printing, CNC machining, injection molding, etc.
  • Experience working with environmental and reliability testing including drop tests, thermal cycling, and vibration.
