Job Summary

The Financial Risk Strategist will play a pivotal role in conducting thorough credit risk assessments, providing recommendations to stakeholders, and driving business growth through informed decision-making.

This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive credit risk assessments of corporate entities, evaluating their financial statements, liquidity positions, and potential risk exposures.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of commodities trading processes, including trade contracts, settlement terms, and risk-mitigating instruments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide analysis and advice on credit risk matters to stakeholders, ensuring timely and informed decision-making.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, International Trading, or a related business discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify nuances in data and develop effective strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Proven experience in commodities trading or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, with proficiency in VBA an added advantage.
  • Bilingual in Chinese and English, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders in both languages.
