The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at Nanyang Technological University invites applications for a Research Fellow position in the Nano-Bio Interface Lab.

The lab is led by Asst. Prof. ZHAO Wenting and focuses on elucidating the nanoscale regulation mechanism of how membrane geometry impacts the organization and modulation of cellular and biomolecular machineries in disease progression and therapeutic development.

The lab has established state-of-the-art nanofabrication and advanced imaging technologies.

We are seeking a research fellow to push forward the studies of nanoscale assembly of diverse biomolecules on cellular membranes and mimics using nanofabricated chips and high-resolution imaging.

The project aims to elucidate mechanisms of biophysical guidance of biomolecular assembly and interaction for therapeutic development.

• Develop and implement scientific projects on nanoscale membrane dynamics in cells.
• Write scientific publications and grants.
• Collaborate with other research groups and team members.
• Supervise junior members and train new laboratory personnel.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards and guidelines.

• Ph.D in biomedical engineering or related disciplines.
• Recent Ph.D graduates within 3 years of experience.
• Experience in surface patterning, topography engineering, nano-/micro-fabrication, and related techniques.
• Experience in microbiology, biochemistry, cell biology, and biophysics.
• Experience in advanced microscopy, super-resolution cell imaging, machine learning-based image analysis.
• Publication history, with preference given to candidates with more than 2 first-authored papers in reputable journals.
