**Job Description:**

  • We are seeking a professional to lead the preparation and review of technical specifications for transmission network equipment/power cable systems.
  • Liaising with internal/external stakeholders is crucial to ensure requirements are met and incorporated.
  • The successful candidate will prepare and execute tender exercises for procurement of transmission equipment/power cable systems for approved projects.
  • Technical evaluation of tenders and recommendations for award of contract will be conducted.
  • A system design review with Original Equipment Manufacturers and internal stakeholders prior to manufacturing approval is necessary.
  • Engineering drawings, technical submissions, and Inspection/testing procedures will be vetted and approved before proceeding with manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Witnessing of Type Test/Factory Acceptance Test/Factory Audit is also required.
  • Identification, exploration, conceptualisation, and recommendation of total solutions through implementation of new technology, design, operation, and maintenance philosophies to enhance capital asset management are key responsibilities.
  • Investigation of faulty equipment/parts and liaison with government & relevant agencies for consultation of wayleave clearance for proposed power cable routes are also part of the job.
  • Benchmarking against established power utilities for best engineering practices and solutions is essential.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A recognised degree in Electrical Engineering from a university recognised by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore (preferably specialising in power engineering) with at least 3-10 years of working experience in the power & energy industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as well as the ability to handle tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, responsible, and independent in resolving issues.
