About the Role

FPT Asia Pacific PTE. LTD. is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for analyzing user interactions, optimizing chatbot performance, and developing advanced functionalities to enhance user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Learning and AI: Develop and refine machine learning models to improve chatbot performance in tasks such as intent classification, dialogue management, and sentiment analysis.
  • Experimentation and Optimization: Experiment with different models and algorithms to achieve optimal results.
  • Collaboration and Integration: Collaborate with engineers to integrate models into the platform.

Data Analysis:

  • Data Insights: Conduct in-depth analysis of interaction data to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Statistical Analysis: Utilize statistical techniques and visualization tools to communicate findings effectively.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Develop KPIs to measure chatbot effectiveness and track progress.

Natural Language Processing:

  • NLP Techniques: Apply NLP techniques to understand user queries, extract relevant information, and generate appropriate responses.
  • Advancements in NLP: Explore cutting-edge NLP methods to enhance chatbot capabilities.

Innovation and Collaboration:

  • Staying Up-to-Date: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning, NLP, and chatbot technologies.
  • Innovative Solutions: Propose and implement innovative solutions to address chatbot challenges and improve user experience.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that data-driven insights are effectively integrated into the platform.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Min. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: Proven experience in data analysis and machine learning with tools including but not limited to: Python and libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • NLP Knowledge: Strong understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts and techniques.
  • Real-World Experience: Experience working with real-world, large-scale datasets.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Project Management: Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Desired Skills:

  • Business Acumen: Capable of translating business use cases into analytical problems, and identifying appropriate data sources to tackle these problems.
  • Scripting and Analysis: Proficient in writing scripts for data preparation and analysis, using modern analysis tools & programming methodologies.
  • Data Quality: Proficient in cleaning, imputing and correcting anomalies in the collected structured or unstructured data to ensure a high standard of quality in data sets to be used in the analysis work.
  • Exploratory Data Analysis: Proficient in exploring and analysing datasets, applying probability and statistical methodologies and techniques to discover insights from the data.
  • Machine Learning Models: Proficient in building machine learning models to identify, recognise patterns and make predictions.
  • Data Visualization: Proficient in design principles and use of visualisations to best convey the intended information.
  • Customized Visualizations: Capable of developing data visualisation from standalone graphs and charts on to highly customised tools and apps while tightly integrated to the data systems for real time visualisation of information.
  • Actionable Recommendations: Capable of translating results from analysis work into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Data Storytelling: Capable of communicating results from analysis work in a coherent data story for stakeholders.
  • Model Deployment: Experience in model deployment.
  • Stakeholder Management: Experience in stakeholder management.
  • Agile Project Management: Experience in agile project management.
