AVL Systems Specialist

This is a key role in our church technical team where the AVL Systems Specialist will play a vital part in serving and training volunteers to utilize audio, video, and lighting technologies for various church platforms. This includes worship services, events, and productions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, setting up, and tearing down a wide range of production equipment, including audio consoles, lighting desks, and video switchers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Technical Lead in planning and implementing church services, events, and productions
  • Coordinating, facilitating, and overseeing the operation and upgrading of AVL systems for events and productions
  • Liaising between the Technical Lead and various ministries of the church for their technical needs
  • Planning and conducting trainings to develop volunteers' technical capabilities
  • Being involved in AVL design and implementation
  • Managing technical logistics and assets
  • Reviewing and improving operational efficiency, internal controls, and accountability
  • Implementing best practices and work processes in digital concepts and operations
  • Houskeeping, testing, troubleshooting, and responding during events and services at all venues

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of industry practices, work processes, digital concepts, and operations
  • Dependability, responsibility, independence, and resourcefulness, with a proactive approach to pursuing excellence
  • The ability to multitask and manage multiple projects concurrently, thriving under tight deadlines
  • The capacity to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels
  • Motivation, self-initiation, and a positive attitude, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • A Diploma or Degree in Film, Sound & Video, Mass Communication, or related disciplines
  • Proficiency in Dante infrastructure and Lightkey or MA Lighting infrastructure
  • Proficiency in ProPresenter and Video infrastructure
