Job Opportunity for Armament Technician

The role of an armament technician involves performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of complex equipment. These tasks include loading heavy spare parts and components onto vehicles or equipment, performing repair and maintenance tasks such as overhaul, service, replacement, removal, and installation of technical and mechanical components.

  • Loading Heavy Spare Parts and Components: As part of this job, you will be responsible for loading heavy spare parts and components onto vehicles or equipment.
  • Performing Repair and Maintenance Tasks: You will perform repair, maintenance, overhaul, service, replace, remove, and installation tasks (technical and mechanical).
  • Lubricant Replacement and Greasing: Your responsibilities will also include replacing lubricants, greasing, and flushing hydraulic systems.
  • Wiring Replacement and Diagnostic: You will perform wiring replacement, tracking, and diagnostic tasks for both electrical and hydraulic components.
  • Machinery Usage and Working at Height: As part of your job, you will use machinery such as overhead cranes and special technical equipment, and work at height by climbing up and down vehicles.
  • 5S/Housekeeping: Maintaining 5S/housekeeping standards is also a requirement of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

As an armament technician, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Loading heavy spare parts and components onto vehicles or equipment.
  2. Performing repair and maintenance tasks such as overhaul, service, replacement, removal, and installation of technical and mechanical components.
  3. Replacing lubricants, greasing, and flushing hydraulic systems.
  4. Performing wiring replacement, tracking, and diagnostic tasks for both electrical and hydraulic components.
  5. Using machinery such as overhead cranes and special technical equipment.
  6. Maintaining 5S/housekeeping standards.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Nitec in any engineering field.
  • The ability to troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Training provided to ensure your success in the role.
