Research Focus
The TMIG group at NTU is dedicated to researching and developing innovative materials and technologies for various applications, including cellular agriculture.
We are currently working on a project to develop non-antibiotic mitigants for the industry, and we are seeking a highly skilled senior research fellow to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Design and characterization of broad-spectrum lipid, peptide, and glycan-based mitigants
- Fabrication of 3-D scaffolds using new biomaterials and characterization of the same
- Design, post-processing, and biomimetic cell culture environments for 3D scaffolds
- Scalability and reproducibility of bioactive 3D scaffolds for large-scale manufacturing
- Critical interpretation and application of experimental results
- Data collection and preparation for research-related grant calls
- Gathering information/data and preparing documents for reporting/papers
- Training new team members on relevant laboratory/technical skills
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. degree in Bioengineering/Materials Science/Chemistry/Chemical Engineering
- Strong experimental skills in functional materials fabrication, micro/nanoparticle fabrication, biocompatible material functionalization, and associated methods
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work hard and meet tight deadlines
- Able to work independently and prepare documents for reporting/papers
- Willingness to contribute team services such as sharing/coaching new members on relevant laboratory/technical skills
