At Tan Tock Seng Hospital, we are seeking an Epidemiology Research Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting clinicians and researchers in addressing significant healthcare challenges.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Closely collaborate with Clinician Principal Investigators in designing research studies and clinical trials.
- Perform statistical analyses, interpret results, and contribute to the preparation of publications.
- Support clinician and allied health Principal Investigators in ethics submissions and grant applications.
You will assist in developing effective slides or posters for scientific meetings or institutional communications, ensuring complex messages are clearly conveyed and tailored to the intended audience.
Share knowledge and conduct training on research methods, epidemiology, and statistics-related topics in courses organized by CRIO.
Adhere to principles of good ethical and scientific practice, including data and safety monitoring, in study design, data collection, dissemination, and the responsible use of collected information.
Develop expertise in emerging areas such as mixed-method research designs, survey methods, systematic reviews, meta-analysis, and innovation methodologies by attending relevant courses.
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE EXPECTED TO
- Compile and manage databases and other information sources, such as the electronic medical literature, for analysis of healthcare-related questions.
- Support special projects as requested by managerial, administrative, or operational staff.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor / Head of department including administrative duties.
