NEO Performance Materials (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Associate Scientist (Synthesis) to join our team in Singapore. As a key member of our NEO Chemicals and Oxides division, you will play a crucial role in supporting our aggressive growth strategy in the development and application of new generation materials for various industrial markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct experiments to develop new and innovative solutions that positively impact production.
- Perform chemical and physical characterization of synthesized materials according to established procedures and protocols.
- Assist in the scale-up of materials from bench to pilot-plant and implement them in full production.
- Prepare quality and detailed technical reports and communicate them effectively to management through oral or written presentations.
- Promote a laboratory culture of 'safety first' at all times and actively participate in safety meetings to maintain NEO's excellence in safety performance.
Requirements:
- Preferably at least 2 years of relevant work experience with a good Bachelor's degree or MSc in Chemistry, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Prior work experience in inorganic chemistry is preferred.
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Good attention to detail and solution-oriented, with the ability to be both strategic and 'hands-on' to overcome challenges in an effective and timely manner.
- Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate scientific concepts to internal and external audiences.
- Ability to speak Mandarin in a scientific environment is an added advantage.
