About the Role

As the Director of Engineering for FinCrime, you'll lead our Fraud, Risk, AML, Security, and compliance engineering teams, shaping the technology vision and execution for Aspire's FinCrime infrastructure. This strategic leadership role will drive the long-term roadmap, technical strategy, and regulatory compliance in fraud prevention and risk management.

  • Leadership: Co-define the long-term vision and roadmap for risk products that align with business, regulatory, and technological goals.
  • Product Delivery: Lead the end-to-end product development for KYC/KYB, AML, transaction monitoring, fraud prevention, and security systems.
  • Technical Expertise: Guide teams on microservices architecture, infrastructure, and secure system design, as well as implement best practices in monitoring, logging, caching, and automation.
  • Engineering Management: Technically lead and mentor a high-performing, multi-region engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
  • Process Management: Optimize Agile (Scrum) processes, ensuring efficient execution and high-quality deliverables.
  • Domain Expertise: Develop a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements in relevant markets while working closely with operations, legal, compliance, other engineering, and product teams to deliver risk management solutions.
