Job Title: Plastic Injection Moulding Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and skilled injection moulding expert to lead production team in manufacture of high-quality automotive components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Supervision

    • Supervise and manage daily injection moulding operations to ensure timely delivery of products that meet customer expectations.
    • Allocate resources and oversee machine operations across multiple moulding lines to optimize efficiency and productivity.
    • Monitor and control production processes to minimize downtime, reduce waste, and improve product quality.

  • Quality & Compliance

    • Ensure that all products meet or exceed automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001) through rigorous quality control checks and corrective actions.
    • Collaborate with Quality Assurance personnel to identify and address non-conformance issues promptly.
    • Investigate and resolve customer complaints and quality deviations in a timely manner.

  • Moulding Process Control

    • Oversee mould changeovers, machine start-up, shutdown, and parameter settings to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
    • Develop and implement strategies to reduce energy consumption and minimize environmental impact.
    • Troubleshoot process or equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuity of production.

  • Team Leadership

    • Lead and motivate a team of moulding technicians, operators, and material handlers to achieve exceptional performance and results.
    • Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance team members' skills and knowledge.
    • Evaluate team performance regularly and provide constructive feedback to drive improvement.

  • Maintenance Coordination

    • Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure timely completion of scheduled maintenance tasks and repairs.
    • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and extend its lifespan.

  • Safety & Workplace Management

    • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.
    • Promote a culture of safety awareness and encourage open communication among team members.
    • Investigate and report workplace incidents or near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in injection moulding, preferably in the automotive or precision plastic components industry.
  • Familiarity with IATF 16949, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and other automotive quality tools.
  • Proficiency in setting up machines such as Arburg, Sumitomo, Fanuc, or similar.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, shift-based production environment.
