Product Design Engineer Job Description

This role involves designing and developing industry-leading high-speed interconnect solutions for customers. The successful candidate will lead and participate in design and development activities from concept to production using a well-defined product development process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conceptualize and Design: Lead and participate in the design and development of products, from conceptualization to production.
  • Design Improvement and Optimization: Provide engineering support for product modifications, cost reductions, manufacturing process improvements, and other activities as required.
  • Collaboration: Work in a cross-functional team involved in new product development and manufacturing, which may include interactions with team members across different time zones.
  • Product Documentation: Generate design specifications, design proposals, and/or product designs that meet customer requirements.
  • Innovation and Research: Drive successful development of new product development projects, research, and develop ideas for new and/or improved designs for the high-speed interconnect industry.
  • Collaborative Problem-Solving: Provide consultation to sales or marketing on design and engineering-related matters.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical and/or Manufacturing Engineering is preferred)
  • Experience with advanced parametric 3D CAD systems
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Team-oriented personality

  • Design experience with high-speed interconnect solutions
  • Experience in a connector design and manufacturing environment
