Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team.

Job Description

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for evaluating and selecting suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and lead times. This includes negotiating contracts and pricing to secure favorable terms, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring their timely execution. Additionally, the Procurement Specialist will maintain robust supplier relationships and manage supplier issues, analyze market trends for potential cost-saving opportunities, and monitor inventory levels to guarantee the availability of key materials.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong understanding of procurement processes and practices. You must have:

  • A minimum Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • A minimum 2 years of purchasing experience, preferably in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment;
  • Knowledge of metal fabrication processes and materials (e.g., steel, aluminum, stainless steel);
  • Familiarity with purchasing software and ERP systems.
Benefits

This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary package, including up to $3000 + variable bonus. The working hours are 5 days a week, from Monday to Friday, 8am-5:45pm.
