Job Overview:

Safety Management Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Safety Management Specialist. This is a key role that requires a deep understanding of workplace safety and health principles, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

In this position, you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and reviewing safety protocols to prevent injuries and damage on construction sites. You will also advise the project management team on risk analysis, controls, and updates to legislation related to workplace safety and health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions;
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies;
  • Maintain accurate records of safety incidents and near misses;
  • Provide training and guidance to site personnel on safety best practices;
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations and advise management accordingly;

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Engineering or related field;
  • Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH);
  • Registration with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and National Environment Agency (NEA);
  • 3-5 years of experience in a main-contractor environment;
