We are seeking a skilled test engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing test methodologies, set-ups, and testing plans and procedures to characterize the optical, electrical, RF, and thermal performance of optoelectronic devices.
- Design and develop test methodologies, set-ups, and testing plans and procedures to characterize the optical, electrical, RF, and thermal performance of optoelectronic devices, including transceivers, FP lasers, DFB lasers, gain chips, SLEDs, semiconductor optical amplifiers, electro-absorption modulators/lasers, photonic integrated circuits, and their packaged modules.
- Perform test and characterization runs to support the test requirements of New Product Innovation, New Requirement Engineering, Request for Customization, and Product Improvement projects.
- Perform waveguide and optical coupling tests of passive components, and electro-optical tests to characterize active optoelectronic devices and photonic integrated circuits.
- Analyze measured test results together with correlation to design requirements and simulation results to iterate towards improvement in design and performance of the optoelectronic devices and packaged modules.
- Generate test reports with measurement results and detailed analyses in a timely manner.
- Contribute actively to the build-up of test and characterization capabilities of the Photonics Test Lab, including maintenance of test set-ups and jigs and calibration of the measurement instrumentation.
- Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in test engineering and development of test methodologies.
- Strong understanding of optoelectronic devices, photonic systems, and test methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
