Job Summary:
We are seeking an accomplished Data Scientist to design and implement a robust simulator that can mimic various financial crime behaviors and scenarios. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data simulation, machine learning, and Python programming, with a solid understanding of financial crime scenarios such as money laundering, fraud, and scams.
Mandatory Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in Python programming with experience in data simulation or synthetic data generation
- Hands-on experience with PySpark for scalable data processing
- Experience developing rule-based or typology-driven systems for data modeling
- Solid understanding of financial crime scenarios and statistical methods
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a simulator to replicate various financial crime behaviors and scenarios
- Develop algorithms to generate synthetic customer profiles, accounts, and transaction data
- Apply statistical methods to enhance realism of simulated outputs
- Incorporate predefined typologies and logic to simulate known patterns of financial crimes
- Build functionality for stress-testing scenarios and edge-case behavior simulation
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Background in data science, machine learning, or anomaly detection
- Experience with financial services or compliance systems
