Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist cum Phlebotomist to perform routine and complex analytical tests on human body fluids and tissues. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic laboratory environment, providing accurate data for optimal diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of disease states.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough analyses of human body fluids and tissues
  • Cross-referencing clinical information and previous lab results with discrepancies to the Head of Department
  • Soliciting consultation from the Head of Department when preset criteria for decision-making are unavailable
  • Contributing to developmental work on new tests and quality control procedures
  • Participating in ongoing education programs to maintain proficiency and expand knowledge
  • Collecting blood specimens from patients using various methods
  • Ensuring patient identification matches official documents and adhering to test requirements
  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace

Requirements:

  • A diploma in Biomedical Science or Medical Technology, or an equivalent course of study
  • A minimum of 1 year of clinical laboratory experience in a hospital or diagnostic lab environment
  • An excellent team player with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • A certificate in Phlebotomy and a minimum of 1 year of relevant hands-on phlebotomy experience
  • The ability to take infant's blood and willingness to work rotating shifts, including night shifts
  • Superior customer service and communication skills
  • A team player, responsible, positive, diligent, multi-tasking, caring, attentive, and compassionate individual
