About the Role

Careers@Gov is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in the Operations and Implementation Support Section, under the newly established Cybersecurity and Data Governance Division.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and reviewing the overall cybersecurity architecture for existing and future CAAS Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems, ensuring compliance with government IM8 and CCoP requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and enhance the cybersecurity standard operating procedures for ATM systems and infrastructure
  • Recommend appropriate controls for implementation to improve the cybersecurity posture of ATM systems and infrastructure
  • Manage project implementation of cybersecurity related initiatives across CAAS, including cybersecurity design and architecture
  • Work closely with system engineers, OEMs and maintenance contractors to facilitate and validate the implementation in accordance with government ICT security standards and requirements, and industry best practices
  • Conduct investigations of cyber and data security breaches to determine the root cause, and work closely with system owners to resolve the incidents, participate in post-incident reporting and propose enhancement to the ATM systems and infrastructure to close any security gaps
  • Assist system owners in performing cybersecurity risk evaluation and reporting
  • Work with appointed cybersecurity consultants to perform vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, system architecture and host configuration review
  • Execute the necessary processes and procedures for protection of the ATM systems and infrastructure, which includes ensuring that security logs and accounts are reviewed, security patches are applied, etc.
Requirements
  • Trained in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering (Computing / Telecommunication) or equivalent
  • Able to translate cybersecurity requirements into system requirements and system specific policies
  • At least - 3 years of relevant experience in system project implementation and cybersecurity compliance and/or cybersecurity work experiences in ICT infrastructure or network implementation
  • Professional Security Certification such as Certified Information Security Auditors (CISA) and/or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) would be advantageous
  • Possess good experience in managing cybersecurity projects, preferably having gone through at least one project implementation life-cycle
  • An active professional certification in Cybersecurity or Information Security from ISACA, (ISC)2 or equivalent will be an advantage
  • Strong domain knowledge of information security governance and risk management, controls, vulnerability assessment/penetration testing, compliance, business continuity, investigations, system architecture and design, legal, and industry IT and cyber security best-practices.
  • Able to show understanding of the relationship between cybersecurity and the broader business goals and objectives
  • Self-motivated and independent, a good team player with well-rounded skillset, and can-do attitude
  • Curious and passionate about cybersecurity with a hacker mindset
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, presentation and negotiation skill

Your appointment designation will commensurate with your relevant work experience. Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance, and may be considered for placement on a permanent tenure or subsequent contract renewal.
