Job Title: UX Design Lead

The role of UX Design Lead is pivotal in shaping the overall user experience. It involves leading the UX strategy and ensuring end-to-end thinking across products.

  • User Experience Focus: The UX Design Lead will be responsible for designing user-centric experiences, considering user context, default paths, information surfaces, and UI affordances.
  • User Research Expertise: Define research requirements, questions, and outcomes, and lead and execute them to gather valuable insights.
  • UX Writing Mastery: Own key UX copy surfaces, including onboarding instructions, empty states, tooltips, and error messages, making sure they are simple, human, and precise.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Work closely with UI-focused designers to enhance the UX maturity of the team.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product and engineering teams, challenging legacy flows, technical constraints, and helping shape UX-informed tradeoffs that align with the user vision.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in UX design, preferably in consumer fintech.
  • Prior experience as a UX lead for consumer fintech or banking products, ideally in early-stage environments.
  • Able to design full user journeys and understand how to create experiences across various constraints (legal, regulatory, tech debt).
  • Experience coaching designers to think in terms of user experience, not just visual design.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working on DeFi, exchanges, or digital wallet products.
  • Familiarity with crypto/web3 flows.
