Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for Java and SQL applications, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Assist with Java application development and optimization.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and data analysis.
  • Support users with technical issues and work on improving system performance.
  • Understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Work with users and developers to improve processes and functionality.
  • Test and ensure new features meet business needs.
  • Identify and fix technical issues related to Java applications and SQL databases.
  • Help analyze operational problems and suggest improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience working with Java, Cobol, and SQL.
  • Experience in technical support or a similar role is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in operational support, including incident management, monitoring, and resolution.
  • Knowledge of Java and Cobol Mainframe programming.
  • Experience with SQL databases and query writing.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • A team player who is eager to learn and grow.
  • Experience with Enterprise Java-related backend frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate, JPA).
  • Experience with frontend user interface (UI) development, particularly with React and Typescript is good to have.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel VBA and Excel Macros is advantageous.
