Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. As an Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on amusement ride mechanical, electrical, and control equipment.

Your duties will include:

  • Performing routine maintenance inspections and repairs on adventure play equipment in Rainforest Wild Africa.
  • Logging completion of maintenance inspections, corrective action, and/or repairs made using a maintenance system.
  • Ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out in a safe and timely manner.

You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and recovering ride-related faults and adventure systems, accountability of tools and equipment, and good housekeeping.


Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronic/Electrical Engineering or related field with 2-3 years of experience in equipment maintenance.
  • The ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals to carry out work assignments.
  • Ability to perform shifts including weekends and public holidays.
  • Able to work at height.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office).
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Physically capable of lifting and installing components.
