The Director of Digital Learning and Innovation will lead the development of educational technology and AI across the organization. This cross-phase leadership role encompasses the strategic vision, implementation, and continuous evolution of digital learning experiences for students in Infant, Junior, and Senior Schools.
In this capacity, the Director will report to the CEO through the Director of Learning, collaborate with Deputy Heads (Academic), and lead the Technology Working Group. They will also participate in the Academic Committee and regularly join Leadership Teams to drive digital learning initiatives. Additionally, the Director will advise the Governor's Education sub-committee on progress and work closely with the Director of Technology and the Director of Partnerships, Scholarship, and Inquiry.
One of the key responsibilities of the Director is to lead the development of digital learning programs that are coherent, innovative, and excellent. This involves working closely with teachers and staff to design and implement cutting-edge educational technologies that enhance student outcomes. The Director will also be responsible for leading professional development opportunities for educators to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to effectively integrate technology into their teaching practices.
Another important aspect of this role is the Director's involvement in teaching a limited number of classes in their specialist field. This will provide them with an opportunity to stay connected to the classroom and inform their leadership decisions with a deep understanding of what works best for students.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in education technology, instructional design, and leadership. They should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to think strategically and collaboratively. A passion for innovation, a commitment to excellence, and a love of learning are essential qualities for success in this role.
