Job Title: Cyber Threat Security Analyst

This role involves identifying and neutralizing advanced threats through proactive threat hunting activities across various environments. A deep understanding of threat hunting methodologies, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication are required for this position.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity and 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a minimum of 1-2 years focused on threat hunting. Strong knowledge of operating systems, security tools, and scripting languages is also necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct proactive threat hunting activities to identify and mitigate potential threats
  • Develop and maintain threat hunting hypotheses based on current threat intelligence and organizational risk assessments
  • Analyze security logs, network traffic, and endpoint data to identify malicious activity and potential threats
  • Investigate security incidents and provide detailed reports on findings, including root cause analysis and remediation recommendations
  • Collaborate with other security teams to share threat intelligence and coordinate security efforts

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a minimum of 1-2 years focused on threat hunting
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), security tools, and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, SANS GIAC, GNFA, GCFA)
