Project Engineer Job Description

The role of the Project Engineer is to oversee the entire lifecycle of security systems, from planning and design to execution. This involves collaborating with sales staff and clients to understand their needs, developing project plans, managing contractors, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with sales staff and clients to understand their security needs and requirements.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Manage contractors' allocation, procurement of materials with the project manager.
  • Oversight of system installation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality.
  • Address technical and malfunction issues of the system during the handover stage.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed and accurate documentation of assigned projects.
  • Assist with system training sessions for clients or end-users on system operations and best practices.
  • Evaluate and implement safety protocols during installation and maintenance activities.
  • Stay up to date on the latest advancements in security technology and industry trends.
Requirements:
  • Possess a higher national certificate or diploma in electronics and/or electrical engineering or a relevant field.
  • Possess a minimum of two years' experience in site supervision and coordination with main contractors and subcontractors.
