Job Title: Audio Visual Technician

About the Role

This role is responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting AV equipment within the school premises. The successful candidate will provide technical support for lighting, audio, video, and stage requirements for events organized by the Authority or external organizations.

Skill Requirements
  • Diploma in a relevant field such as electronics, communications, or multimedia studies.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in a school environment with a focus on audio-visual technology.

The ideal candidate will have proficiency in operating and simple troubleshooting audiovisual equipment including sound systems, projectors, video cameras, lighting equipment, and control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Setting up and operating AV equipment for morning assemblies, events, and lessons.
  2. Providing technical support for lighting, audio, video, and stage requirements for events.
  3. Supporting school staff in setting up AV equipment.
  4. Assisting teachers with video recording of school events and lessons.
  5. Managing and operating school digital signages.
  6. Providing assistance to ICT staff.
  7. Procuring AV-related solutions and services.
  8. Condemning obsolete equipment and administering the loan of AV equipment.
  9. Performing routine inspections and maintenance of projectors, speakers, microphones, and other AV equipment.
  10. Conducting annual hardware maintenance and basic repairs.
  11. Investigating, documenting, and updating equipment faults.
  12. Maintaining accurate records of all equipment maintenance and repairs.
  13. Developing user guides for common AV setups.
  14. Liaising with vendors regarding AV requirements and related matters.
  15. Video creation and editing.
