Mission Secretary

The Mission Programme and Partnership is a key area of our organization's programmatic structure. As a Mission Secretary, you will play a crucial role in assisting us in developing proposals and strategies for guiding member churches to engage in mission and partnership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, budget, coordinate, implement, and evaluate programmes or projects on mission and partnership activities across member churches and ecumenical partners.
  • Engage with member churches and assist them in developing medium and long-term mission programmes towards building partnerships to fulfill God's mission in contexts.
  • Collaborate with member churches in advocating for life-flourishing church in action responding to contemporary challenges in various global contexts through their mission.
  • Strengthen and line-manage the MSP Project Coordinator and PIM Coordinator in engaging with member churches and assisting them in sending and receiving Partners in Mission.
Qualifications and Special Requirements:
  • A minimum of five years of experience in working in faith-based organizations and churches in areas of mission and partnership with a clear understanding of global and regional missional issues.
  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant field, preferably Master or Equivariant, with PhD as an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in English language to effectively communicate through verbal, written, and digital communication tools.
  • Ability to work in team with mutual respect, commitment to diversity and inclusivity, and quality of discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
