The Role:

We're looking for an AML Investigations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll work closely with the Financial Crimes Intelligence and Investigations (FCII) Team to build and maintain effective AML processes and systems. Your key responsibilities will include performing risk-based investigations on AML cases generated by our monitoring system, filing Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) in a timely manner, and collaborating with stakeholders to design and implement an effective AML transaction monitoring system.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough investigations on AML cases, identifying potential risks and recommending appropriate actions.">
  • File STRs accurately and on time, following up on post-filing activities such as providing recommendations on client relationships and maintaining the STR register.">
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and refine AML processes and systems, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.">
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to identify critical risks and impacts on the FCII function.">
  • Contribute to the calibration of our AML transaction monitoring system to optimize its effectiveness and identify emerging suspicious trends or gaps.">
  • Engage actively with stakeholders to create synergistic platforms and processes that enhance AML operations.">
  • Take ownership of assigned projects, driving their successful completion while maintaining high-quality results.">
  • Review and maintain FCII procedures to reflect current practices that meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.">
  • Assist the Head of AML Ops as needed with ad-hoc requests or projects.">

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of local laws and regulations related to AML, along with 7+ years of relevant experience in transaction monitoring, surveillance, or investigation activities. Familiarity with MAS 626 and regulatory developments in the digital payments industry is highly desirable. You must be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders, advocate AML initiatives, and drive improvements to the AML program.

What We Offer:
