Job Title: Culinary Expert

Culinary Experts are responsible for the preparation and presentation of high-quality food products in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining high quality standards and procedures in preparing and serving all food.
  • Providing solid knowledge of all food products and skillfully applying culinary techniques.
  • Responsible for the preparation of all aspects of restaurant foods, hot and cold; including banquets and special events.
  • Ensuring that all food quality meets specifications and guarantees.
  • Maintaining a solid knowledge, understanding and preparation of base stocks and soups.
  • Regularly restocking all kitchen supplies and food items required for service.
  • Properly labeling and dating all products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and sanitary environment in which to work; meeting all kitchen sanitation standards.
  • Assisting chefs in all health, safety, and sanitation procedures
  • Lowering food costs and wastes.
  • Rotating products on a first-in, first-out philosophy.
  • Maintaining a solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation.
  • Maintaining a high level of professionalism
  • Working as a team, assisting guests' and employees' needs and inquiries.
  • Effectively communicating with management, chefs and service staff to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and other employees.


Requirements:

This role requires strong communication skills, teamwork, time management, and adaptability. Must be able to maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
