Job Description

This role is responsible for producing high-quality regulatory reporting for the Singapore Branch and collaborating with the Head of Regulatory Reporting and the Financial Controller to ensure timely and accurate reporting to MAS and other local regulators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, review, and submit MAS returns accurately and on time.
  • Maintain effective controls over relevant systems and processes to ensure regulatory reporting quality.
  • Act as the key liaison point for members within Finance and other departments for information related to MAS and other regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure timely communication to stakeholders on regulatory changes from MAS and other regulatory authorities.
  • Assist in driving projects with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure compliance with regulatory reporting obligations.
  • Enhance regulatory reporting data quality through initiatives and projects.
  • Contribute to overall financial controls, including review of daily general ledgers and investigation of GL account reconciliation breaks.
Accountabilities:Local Regulatory Reporting
  • Prepare and review daily MAS monitoring and monthly, quarterly, and annual submissions.
  • Set up, maintain, and implement effective controls over the system and process of regulatory reporting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of MAS reporting.
  • Provide timely and accurate updates on daily key regulatory ratios.
  • Maintain regulatory reporting systems, including STB Reporter.
  • Participate in UAT of new accounting projects and initiatives related to MAS reporting.
  • Assist in driving initiatives to enhance regulatory reporting data quality and collaborate with other functions to identify and manage regulatory reporting risks.
  • Document local regulatory reporting procedures and MAS returns production manuals in line with MAS reporting requirements and guidelines.
Financial/GL Control
  • Ensure timely GL account reconciliations.
  • Investigate and document GL reconciliation breaks and their resolution outcomes.
  • Liaise with Head Office to create new or correct GL lines and categories in T24 for new products, activities, and items.
Job Context:

This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including Head Office Finance Team, Local Business Teams, and Local Regulators.

The role is subject to the MAS-Individual Accountability & Conduct Guidelines and requires adherence to the Fit and Proper requirements of the bank.

The role also requires confirmation and attestation of the Job Description and Balance ScoreCard on a periodic basis.

Additionally, the role involves ensuring completion of MRP assessment with the Senior Manager and adhering to the Bank's Code of Conduct.

Qualifications:

This role requires a degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce or a professional qualification, with at least 5 years of working experience in a similar capacity.

Prior experience in MAS Reporting function is a must, while prior experience in derivative reporting to MAS and other functions of a Bank's Finance Control Department is a plus.

Project UAT experience is also a must.
