Job Title: Social Event Planner

 

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills to handle multiple events simultaneously, excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with clients and team members, and the ability to work well under pressure. They should be able to manage event logistics including venue selection, catering, audio visual requirements, transportation, and accommodations.

 

The following requirements are necessary for success in this role:

  • Qualifications:
  • Minimum Diploma or above
  • A bachelor's degree in hospitality, marketing, business administration or a related field is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

 

The Social Event Planner will coordinate all aspects of social events including corporate meetings, conferences, trade shows, and social gatherings. They will work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure that events meet client expectations.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute social events from conception to completion
  • Coordinate venue selection, catering, audio visual requirements, transportation, and accommodations
  • Manage event budgets and track expenses
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services
  • Develop and implement event promotions and marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of events
