Model Auditor Role

We are seeking a skilled Model Auditor to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading model audit assignments, ensuring models are accurate and reliable. They will utilize software checks and parallel model development to identify potential errors and review commercial documentation to ensure accurate reflection in the financial model.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project finance concepts and solid analytical skills with experience in building and operating financial models using Excel. They will also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and remotely as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead model audit assignments to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Utilize software checks and parallel model development to identify potential errors.
  • Review commercial documentation to ensure accurate reflection in the financial model.
  • Maintain meticulous records of modeling processes and methodologies.
  • Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
  • Train, motivate, and manage junior team members on assignments.
  • Communicate model findings and insights effectively to clients and internal teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience in a financial role within a recognized advisory practice or large corporate setting.
  • A good appreciation of accounting concepts; an accounting qualification is beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of Project Finance concepts.
  • Solid analytical skills with experience in building and operating financial models using Excel.
  • Degree in a numerate discipline; postgraduate qualification in accounting or finance is beneficial.
