Freelance Private Special Needs Educator Job Opportunity

This role involves providing individualized academic instruction to students with learning or special needs, utilizing tailored lesson plans that align with each student's unique requirements and goals.

  • Deliver academic instruction in core subjects such as literacy, numeracy, and language development, adapting teaching methods to accommodate individual students' needs.
  • Create customized lesson plans using evidence-based strategies that cater to each student's learning style, abilities, and objectives.
  • Support students with various learning difficulties, including ADHD, dyslexia, and autism spectrum disorders, by employing specialized teaching techniques and resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and regularly assess performance, making adjustments to teaching methods as needed to ensure consistent improvement.
  • Cultivate effective communication with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on the student's academic growth and offering suggestions for continued learning support at home.
  • Foster collaboration with other professionals, such as therapists or counselors, to provide a holistic approach to student development.

Requirements:

  • A degree or diploma in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
  • Certification in teaching special needs students or experience working with children with learning or developmental disabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of special education strategies, individualized teaching approaches, and inclusive learning techniques.
  • Previous experience in tutoring or teaching primary and/or secondary subjects to children with learning difficulties.
  • Excellent communication skills and a patient, compassionate approach to teaching.
