Mainframe Performance and Capacity Management Professional

The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in Mainframe performance and capacity management. The role involves complete reporting lifecycle, including generating reports using tools like TDS & SAS-MXG.

You will be responsible for system monitoring, conducting health-checks using tools such as RMF, Omegamon, and SDSF. It is essential to identify any abnormalities in the system, including high consumers, looping jobs, or looping transactions.

In this position, you will be required to create Monthly and Quarterly PCM reports and present them to stakeholders. You should also be capable of making code changes to automated jobs and have experience in Capacity planning for LPAR decommission.

Analyzing system trends, workload, service class reports, and identifying root causes will be part of your regular tasks. As the Mainframe Performance and Capacity Management specialist, you will need to perform WLM changes based on changing workload behavior and demand to ensure optimal system performance.

Your role will include taking proactive measures to prevent recurring performance issues and supporting DR activities by conducting PCM checkouts of the system performances.
