Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for performing complex mechanical engineering tasks, providing technical solutions, and conducting defect investigations to support the Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic Systems of SMRT Trains and Engineering Trains.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct defect troubleshooting, failure analysis, reliability trending, and engineering analytics of condition monitoring systems.
- Develop engineering solutions to problems identified and collaborate with the Operations and Maintenance team to implement and validate the effectiveness of these solutions.
- Identify and consolidate engineering standards for mechanical, electrical, and electronics systems.
- Conduct certification of mechanical, electrical, and electronic workshops in accordance with established procedures.
Qualifications and Skills: To be successful in this role, you will need a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and demonstrated programming competency in Python. You should also have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, and have the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
