Physiotherapist Job Description

The Physiotherapist plays a crucial role in designing treatment programmes for patients with injuries, disabilities, and physical impairments to increase their mobility and independence in physical activities.

These programmes may include exercises and the use of assistive devices. The Physiotherapist works closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient health by promoting wellbeing and healthy living, and preventing injuries.

A key requirement for this position is that the applicant be an AHPC Registered Physiotherapist. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years post-graduate experience with previous private practice experience preferred but not essential.

Candidates will work in a busy, multidisciplinary clinic based in Singapore, where they will be expected to market themselves within the local area and build a consistent patient list. They will also integrate within the team of practitioners and participate in patient discussions, practice meetings, and ongoing activities that promote themselves and the clinic.

The working environment is relaxed and friendly amongst highly skilled professionals from diverse backgrounds. Regular CPD sessions and training are available, and continued personal skill and knowledge development is expected.

Responsibilities include treating a range of musculoskeletal conditions including sports injuries, pre- and post-operative orthopaedic rehabilitation, and workplace-originated problems. A good attitude and great interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
