Job Opportunity: Senior Business Finance Analyst
">Job DescriptionThe HQ Finance Team is responsible for reporting on management and financial numbers, analyzing data for the HQ E-commerce team.
This includes generating reports and other deliverables related to management and financial figures for the CFO, business partners, and other stakeholders' teams.
The team maintains all data relevant to reporting.
As a Senior Analyst, you will produce various reports (Excel, Word, PPT, etc.) requiring familiarity with Microsoft Excel and being comfortable working with it most of the time.
Building and rolling templates and working with financial raw data are essential skills.
You will also be expected to understand the figures that go into each report, turning this understanding into analyst commentary where necessary.
Working with various specialist finance teams and business teams, or performing granular investigation into the financial raw data, is required.
As you progress, you will gain an analytical sense, identifying the crux of what needs to be analyzed and explained in a sea of financial data.
Presenting this information in a concise and understandable manner to C-suite level stakeholders is crucial.
Besides routine work, participating in special projects is expected, which may involve new investigation work or improvement of existing processes.
Reporting and Closing Requirements- Producing, reviewing, analyzing, and issuing periodic reports with financial information and business insights.
- Resolving management team's queries on financial and business information.
- Assisting in the preparation of Executive-level presentations and meetings, such as quarterly business reviews.
- Developing and improving analytical methodologies and presentations to measure and showcase business performance.
- Understanding the various elements of the forecast (P&L) and providing detailed analysis of the data to all stakeholders.
- Supporting and reviewing forecast trends and raising independent and objective questions to improve forecast accuracy.
- Performing financial modeling improvements during forecast and budgeting processes to enhance process efficiency.
- Supporting and/or participating in special projects with opportunities to develop project leadership skills.
- Seeking continuous process improvement by finding opportunities to improve or automate processes or reports.
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience. Big 4 accounting firm experience desired but not required.
- Demonstrated well-developed analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Collaborating well with team members from finance, systems, business, etc.
- Good in data analytics, possess strong problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of commitment to meeting timelines.
- Ability to summarize and explain clearly and concisely (in written form and verbally).
