Job Description

The successful candidate will oversee the execution of construction projects, ensuring timely completion and compliance with regulations. This involves managing site activities, collaborating with regulatory authorities and contractors, and resolving any issues that may arise.


Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of technical supervisors to guarantee adherence to project regulations and client requirements.
  • Report to C&S QP, collaborate with regulatory authorities and contractors to provide on-site supervision, resolve issues, and ensure project completion within deadlines.
  • Be competent in supervising structural works by identifying non-compliance with contractor works on site.
  • Avoid conflicts with local requirements, especially BCA's criteria for buildability and safety assurance systems.
  • Carry out regular site checks to ensure health and work safety compliance with MOM standards.
  • Manage site supervisors regarding C&S engineering works, architectural works, and MandE engineering works.
  • Attend site, progress, variation, and coordination meetings to interpret drawings and contract documents.

Requirements:
  • Holds a recognized degree in Civil/Structural Engineering acceptable for registration with the PE Board, Singapore.
  • Accredited with IES/ACES and holds a valid Resident Engineer Practicing license.
  • Possesses at least 8 years of experience preferably in steel and precast building construction.
  • Familiar with local Regulations/Codes for Civil and Structural related to building projects.
  • Has experience working on condominium projects.
  • A good team player with experience leading a team of Resident Technical Officers.
  • Capable of conducting regular site checks and ensuring health and work safety compliance with MOM standards.
  • Skilled in supervising C&S and Architecture works by identifying non-conformity of contractor works on site.
  • Strong ability to interpret drawings and contract documents.
  • Experience in supervising and managing site supervisors regarding C&S and Architecture Work.
  • Ability to resolve site and technical issues, prepare and document detailed site progress reports.

Key Skills:

This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of construction principles. Familiarity with relevant software, equipment, and tools is also desirable. Additionally, the successful candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be able to prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain accurate records and reports.
