Job Overview

As a key member of the Group Information Security Team, you will play a crucial role in the initiation, implementation, and maintenance of security products and solutions that bolster enterprise security.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for the security systems managed by the Information Security Team.
  • Maximize the utilization of security systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Plan, identify, assess, design, operationalize, and maintain various security-related software and hardware solutions.
  • Propose and drive initiatives to enhance the organization's cyber security posture.
  • Prepare requests for quotation (RFQ) and evaluation criteria, including proof of concept (POC) during product assessments, and collaborate with vendors to implement security solutions.
  • Provide security consultancy, technical guidance, and education to stakeholders.
  • Advise infrastructure teams on relevant and effective security design.
  • Identify and evaluate cyber risks within the IT infrastructure.
  • Review and assess firewall requests.
  • Stay informed about emerging security threats and vulnerabilities associated with new platforms, recommending mitigating controls as necessary.
  • Perform any relevant ad-hoc duties and manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • This role is focused on individual contributions, requiring the ability to deliver tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in information security, particularly in application security.
  • Preferred professional security certifications (CISSP, CSSLP, CEH, etc.).
  • Experience with security product POCs and RFQs.
  • Prior experience in implementing and maintaining tools for EDR, XDR, SOAR, SIEM, UEBA, PAM, AM, etc., as well as network security, including firewall request reviews.
  • Technical expertise in one or more security domains: network design, zero trust, Internet of Things, cryptography, etc.
  • Familiarity with common web and mobile application vulnerabilities, along with the technical knowledge to address and mitigate these vulnerabilities; prior vulnerability management experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of cyber security threats, vulnerabilities, hacking techniques, and exploit methods.
  • Exhibit strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess a positive attitude, drive, initiative, enthusiasm, and a strong sense of urgency in resolving high-priority issues.
  • Able to work independently and thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
