Job Title: After School Engagement Personnel

Our organisation is seeking a dedicated and experienced After School Engagement Personnel to join our team. The role involves creating a safe and conducive environment for students to engage in structured activities, build positive relationships, and provide emotional support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a safe and respectful atmosphere.
  • Monitor student behaviour and address concerns constructively.
  • Possess First Aid certification; training will be provided if not certified.
  • Ensure continuity of services by replacing personnel with an equally qualified one if the trained staff resigns or is terminated.

Student Engagement & Support:

  • Develop positive relationships with students and provide individualised emotional support.
  • Encourage participation in enrichment activities, study sessions, and recreational opportunities.

Programme Coordination:

  • Assist in planning, implementing, and overseeing after-school programmes.
  • Support the coordination of enrichment activities, study sessions, and recreational opportunities.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Collaborate closely with teachers and school committees to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Address behavioural concerns in a constructive manner.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate attendance records.
  • Track student progress and gather feedback from students and parents.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student attendance on scheduled Lighthouse days.
  • Build strong rapport with students, parents, and school staff.

Experience & Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of direct experience in after-school engagement services, preferably in a school environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and engage students effectively.

Requirements:

Applicants should have excellent organisational and time management skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A valid driver's licence is also required.
