Senior Steel Design Specialist

This position involves the preparation of detailed technical and structural designs, calculation reports and shop drawings. The ideal candidate will have excellent engineering skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake detailed technical and structural designs.
- Prepare calculation reports and shop drawings.
- Instruct drafters and check/amend fabrication drawings.
- Review and improve design considerations and assumptions based on project requirements.
- Liaise and coordinate with operation teams, clients, consultants and/or authorities on technical issues.
- Provide technical engineering advice to comply with Singapore design standards, codes, specifications and authorities' regulations.
- Propose value engineering, design improvement, optimization and innovation to improve operation efficiency and maximize construction profit.
- Follow up with projects in charged closely, visit factory and site to provide technical advices and supports to operation team.
- Bachelor Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering that is recognised by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
- Preferably to have 3 to 8 years' experience in steel structure design/earth retaining stabilizing structures design or equivalent.
- Preferably to be conversant with Excel, Tekla Tedds, Tekla Structural Designer, etc as work required.
