We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative building engineering solutions.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering with expertise in ACMV, fire protection systems, and plumbing and sanitary systems.
  • They will design and perform calculations for mechanical engineering works, ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations in Singapore.
  • Conduct technical feasibility studies, life cycle analyses, and planning for building engineering projects, utilizing CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Prepare comprehensive study reports, design reports, technical notes, and public consultation papers that meet the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
  • Develop detailed tender documents and technical specifications for projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and timely delivery.
  • Evaluate tenders and prepare thorough tender assessment reports, providing recommendations for improvement and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and timely delivery, providing support in project management and contract administration for building engineering contracts.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation in mechanical engineering solutions, promoting sustainable design principles and energy-efficient systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution, demonstrating academic excellence and relevant skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on design experience in building and/or infrastructure projects, showcasing a strong track record of achievement and growth.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD and SolidWorks, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and local building codes in Singapore, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent project management and technical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team, with outstanding organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with sustainable design principles and energy-efficient systems is a plus, with a passion for driving innovation and excellence in mechanical engineering solutions.
