Job Description

Job Title: Support Staff - Kitchen Operations

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Support Staff - Kitchen Operations to join our team at Marina Bay Sands. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef in ensuring the efficient preparation of all aspects of kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Kitchen Operations: Assist the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef in coordinating kitchen operations, including menu planning, recipe development, and food preparation.
  • Support Team Members: Provide support to team members, including cooks, chefs, and kitchen staff, to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Maintain High Standards: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety in the kitchen, adhering to company policies and industry standards.
  • Monitor Food Production: Monitor food production to ensure compliance with prescribed recipes and specifications, and maintain high standards of food presentation and portioning controls.
  • Preparation and Presentation: Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Hygiene and Safety: Ensure strict adherence to hygiene policies and procedures, and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with team members, Executive Chef, and Executive Sous Chef to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and be willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a similar role in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Education: Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work well under pressure, and strong attention to detail.
  • Certifications: Food safety certification and any other relevant certifications.
