Senior Manager, Operational Efficiency

This role combines project management skills with hands-on problem-solving capabilities. It focuses on diagnosing cost drivers, designing tailored solutions, and driving implementation across complex environments.

The Senior Manager will work cross-functionally with supply chain, brand, and regional teams to lead initiatives that improve factory overhead performance globally.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive strategy to reduce factory overhead costs worldwide, aligning with corporate goals and operational priorities.
  • Diagnose cost opportunities and translate insights into actionable recommendations. Accountable for identifying and quantifying drivers for additional cost savings in vendor overheads compared to industry benchmarks.
  • Analyze vendor data, conduct interviews and surveys, and review VF business practices to identify value pools in vendor overheads. Create a business case outlining potential changes in business practices required to unlock value, quantifying benefits for brands and regions.
  • Build and maintain a cost opportunity pipeline, categorized by impact, complexity, and readiness, to guide prioritization and resource allocation.
  • Communicate effectively with Brand, Region, and Supply Chain leadership teams, outlining the case for change and expected benefits from available data sets and vendor interactions.
  • Establish cross-functional support across VF from functional heads and teams to vendors and partners on the ground for outlined initiatives. Partner with relevant heads of function to define and establish new processes across product development, planning, buying, and vendor relationship management that align with industry best practice and unlock value.
  • Lead Project Management Office for identified initiatives, assembling and leading cross-functional teams to influence business partners in changing processes and business practices to unlock value and drive implementation against agreed timeframes.
  • Cover the global vendor base and all VF brands/regions, aiming to drive significant cost savings over the lifetime of the project.
