Job Title: Business Continuity Specialist
About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and updating business continuity plans to address potential threats to our organization's operations. This includes collaborating with key stakeholders to map critical business processes and establish recovery priorities.

S/he will also support audits to ensure that plans are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect changes in operations, technology, or staffing.

Key Responsibilities

  4. Conduct basic risk assessments under guidance, identifying potential vulnerabilities and proposing improvements.
  5. Prioritize identified risks and draft actionable recommendations for mitigation.
  6. Develop and oversee emergency response protocols and procedures to ensure a swift and effective response to crises.
  7. Coordinate with relevant teams to conduct regular drills and simulations for emergency scenarios.
  8. Assist in developing engaging training materials to build awareness of BCP procedures.
  9. Facilitate training sessions for employees, promoting a culture of preparedness and resilience.
  10. Be part of the incident management team, contributing ideas and actions to reduce impact during disruptions.
  11. Support communication efforts to keep stakeholders informed during incidents.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2-3 years in an administrative or operational role, with a focus on BCP preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and compelling reports and documentation.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to think on your feet and respond effectively under pressure.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing tasks.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate about learning and willing to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • Any internship or project experience in business continuity, risk management, or related areas is a plus.
