Job Description:

As a Defect Metrology Expert, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing production processes to identify abnormal defect conditions. You will work collaboratively with module shift engineers within a dynamic environment to identify, analyze, and resolve defect issues impacting production yield in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze production processes to identify abnormal defect conditions
  • Analyze data from various inspection/metrology tools to evaluate defects and maintain accurate defect classifications
  • Collaborate with process engineers and technicians to enhance manufacturing line stability and quality
  • Support Yield Engineer to identify potential yield-limiting defect sources and drive defect reduction roadmap for respective technology, through data-driven decisions
  • Conduct defect source analysis, issue defect notices, and manage work-in-progress based on daily dynamic changing priorities

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma or higher in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related STEM field
  • Minimum of at least 2 years of experience in KLA bright field, darkfield, and defect metrology tools and inline applications of these tools to monitor and detect root causes in a high-volume advanced manufacturing fab
