POSITION OVERVIEW
Deliver prompt, courteous, and efficient service to patrons. Welcome and engage customers who approach the cashier area of the establishment. Process various payment methods including cash, coupons, and credit cards. Accurately manage all cash transactions, ensuring correct change is provided. Verify that charges are accurate and that customer signatures are clear. Input sales and payment details into the Point of Sale (POS) system. Keep track of guest checks, categorizing them as either used or unused. Complete necessary documentation when processing coupons, comps, and room charges. Sequentially number all guest checks and maintain a control log for auditing purposes. Record all unused checks as well. Organize all cash and credit card transactions for the shift and submit them to management at the end of the shift. Prepare accurate records for daily cash receipts and cash float. Generate daily cash remittance reports. Ensure all daily collections are securely placed in a remittance envelope and deposited into the Drop-safe with a witness present. Assume responsibility for any missing checks and the cash register balance, adhering to company policies. Manage any discrepancies according to Cashier Variance Procedures. Maintain an accurate count and balance of the cash float at the start and end of each shift. Document all relevant occurrences in the log book and review it at the beginning of each shift. Uphold professional conduct as outlined in the Team Member Handbook and foster a collaborative team environment. Adhere to personal grooming standards as per company guidelines. Comply with attendance expectations and follow all regulatory, departmental, and company policies.JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum secondary school education with 'O' Level passes; a diploma in any field is a plus. At least 2 years of experience in guest service or customer-facing roles, preferably within the hospitality sector. Must possess food hygiene and safety certification. Availability to work on rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
